MEMORIAL TREES THAT HAVE BEEN LOST
Since I took the Avenue of Remembrance photos in 2011, four of the trees have sadly been taken down due to disease. However, they have all since been replaced, maintaining the tradition of replanting new trees to commemorate the fallen servicemen
This Elm tree at Lanesfield was already suffering from Dutch Elm Disease at the time I took the photo and it was taken down a year later
This Plane tree at Roseville alongside Grange Park developed a fungus and was taken down just a few months after I took the photo
These two Sorbus trees on the way to Swan Village and close to Bean Road were taken down in 2013 due to a fungus
